Born and raised in Hong Kong, Diana became a Civil Servant where her duties took her to a myriad of functions at large hotels. She was greatly taken by the displays in culinary art, especially those relating to sugarcraft.

She undertook training courses and eventually moved to Glasgow with a career in audio-visual programming, but still maintaining a high hobby level in sugarcrafting. The advent of marriage and her first child in 1985 provided the opportunity to found Top Tier and her own business in sugarcraft.

Diana became Scottish Regional Chairman of the British Sugarcraft Guild and founded several branches in the Highlands of Scotland.

Besides being a sought after decorative artist in Sugarcraft, she is one of approximately 70 judges in the United Kingdom for the Sugarcraft Guild which has a membership in excess of 12,000. Diana has worked for seventeen years as a sugarcrafter and educator in this field.
