Christening cake - This took two weeks to execute. The baby
was modelled and the christening robe made to look like material
with lots of folds and the sugar lace was added once the robe was
dried.
The subtle colour of the cake enhanced the delicate white lace
effect around the side of the cake. The finishing touches were the
floating butterflies.
Even though the flowers are made from sugar they are not edible
because of the wires and stamens securing them.

Novelty Caravan Cake - This Romany caravan was made for
a group of caravan enthusiasts who loved cake! The square base and
the caravan were sculpted. The figurines were all hand made and
dressed like travelling folk. The “impressionist” shrubs were achieved
with a palette knife and royal icing. The flowers were all piped.
This project took a month from planning, drawing, baking, sculpting,
modelling and finishing. I would call this “Let them eat Cake!!”
